HIGH SCHOOL RECORDS NOTEBOOK

  • Records Notebook or other system of maintaining all high school records should include:
  • Personal Data on Student

  • Diploma or GED of mom/dad-teacher
  • Accountability Association Information (might I recommend Faithful Scholars?  grin)
    • Member Letters
    • DMV Permission Letters
    • Secondary School Permission Letters (dual credit)
  • Personal Grading Sheets per subject per year
  • Students Transcript year by year
  • Copy of SC graduation requirements
  • Rough layout of 4 year plan
    • note that you need not follow public school course progression
    • note that electives can be academic or non-academic
    • note that you can base credits on Carnegie Units (120-150 hours) or text completion
  • Course descriptions, including ISBN# for textbooks, scope/sequence, and rubric
  • Honors bump requires detailed description of additional study or project as more and more colleges are requesting this support of honors each year- be pro-active.
    • A minimum of 30 hours of additional work
    • Completion of ALL pages, projects, questions for books created for honors level work
    • Working hard does not an honors bump earn
